Dayin's brand name came from the idea of taking the time to explore a city, experience its local treasures, and enjoy a day in the city, a day in a specific neighborhood, a day in a café, a day in the life of the Parisian, the Londoner, the Madrilenian.
All our tours are available as a private experience; this means we can, of course, personalize the spots visited or the content to something specific you would like to see. Make sure you let us know in advance if you want to require particular topics or monuments to visit or if you have specific needs.

All our tours are available in English, French, Spanish, and Mandarin. We do our best to accommodate any other languages depending on the guides' availability, so please get in touch with us in advance for specific language needs via the contact form above.
The baseline of our tours is walking tours, meaning we mostly walk around the neighborhood or take the metro/bus if necessary. Public transportation cost is always included in our tours.
If you prefer to explore the city by car, it is no problem for private and customizable tours. This comes at an extra cost. We can also take taxis or Uber for a lower additional cost to accommodate smaller budgets.
Airport transfer in a private car or taxi in possible only for private and customizable tours at an extra cost.
Prices on our tours always include a live guide, public transportation (if needed during the tour) and taxes (VAT). Tickets to monuments, exhibitions, or activities are only included on the tours that specify it, such as our museum tours.
Otherwise, for our custom tours, tickets are not included, as it's not a set itinerary. Based on the program we build together, we then buy the tickets and invoice them to you via payment link.
Food tours always include the food you will be tasting.
Lunch or dinner is not included in any other tour, but we'll gladly make restaurant reservations for you.
All semi-private tours have a set meeting point that you can find on the tour page. We also send you a reminder by text, WhatsApp, or email with the address of the meeting point a few days before.
For private tours:
- if you book a short walking tour of 2h, the tour starts at the meeting point in the same way as for the semi-privates. Exceptions can be made to accommodate special needs if agreed upon ahead of the tour with the Dayin team.
- if you book a tour that doesn't specify any meeting point, it means it includes pick-up from your hotel or anywhere else convenient for you inside Paris. Extra charges apply for pick-up and/or drop-off services outside Paris. Make sure you let us know the address for pick-up before the tour.
Of course! Everyone should feel welcome to participate in our tours. We strongly advise you to book a private tour so that the guide can focus on your needs and so that our team can provide you with the extra care you deserve.

It's effortless; once you have selected the tour(s) you want to book, look for the calendar on the tour page. Select the number of participants from your group and the date and option. Click the "Checkout" button, fill in your information, and follow the payment instructions.
We always strive to answer and make last-minute bookings happen in any way possible. Our team is resourceful and talented to take care of you and your needs, no matter the time limit.
To secure tickets and availabilities, especially during high season, we advise you to book at least 2 weeks in advance. This way, we can prepare everything with you and guarantee availability.
If dates appear unavailable, we are sold out for that tour or can't operate it on that day.

Yes, and you should! It's always easier for you and for us to have the tours operated by one company and not multiple; that way, we know how to advise you for a smooth trip and provide an overall great and even experience.
On our website, you can add a tour to your cart (as explained in the question on how to book a tour) and leave the checkout to see our other tours, as the tour you just added will stay in your cart. Once another one catches your attention, you can add it to your cart the same way or check your cart at the bottom right corner of the screen.

We can arrange together to change a tour's start time for a private visit depending on availability, but not for a semi-private.
On the website, you pay when you book the tour. Rest assured, we have a flexible cancellation policy, which means you can get a full refund up to 24 hours before the tour.
When you contact us to plan a tour, we will sort out the details together and then send you a secured payment link once we have agreed on everything.
You can pay in any currency for both options.
Once booked, you will receive a confirmation by email. We will also contact you directly after booking a custom tour or a few days before the tour day by text or WhatsApp for any other tour.

Our cancellation policy is flexible. You can cancel a tour up to 24h ahead of the starting time of the tour, and will received a full refund.
We never want to cancel a tour, however if we have to cancel for reasons out of our control (strike, flood...), we will offer to reschedule or fully refund you.
We operate the tours rain or shine. When it's raining, we try to adapt the tour to the weather conditions and bring you to covered streets or passageways. For private tours, we can provide umbrellas or change the itinerary completely.
Wear comfortable walking shoes and appropriate clothes for the weather, depending on the time of the year.
For tours longer than 2 hours, you can take a bottle of water.
Bring a passport for shopping tours that will include luxury purchases (new or vintage).
We recommend arriving 5 to 10 minutes before the start of the tour to meet your guide.
If you are late, let us know via WhatsApp or text so we can deal with it the best way.
For tours with pick-up at your hotel, you can be in your hotel lobby 5 minutes before the start.
If you are late, please let us know how much time so we can let the guide know.
Before the tour, we will communicate the name of the guide and remind you of the meeting point.
You will recognize them with a blue Dayin sign.
For tours with pick-up, your guide will have your details and meet you in the lobby.
Gratuities are at your discretion; therefore, they are not mandatory but always appreciated!
