Walk the streets where the French Revolution unfolded. Stand where Louis XVI was guillotined, cross a bridge built from the stones of the Bastille, and follow the story from 1789 to the birth of modern France — in a small group with a passionate local guide.
This is not a monument-spotting tour. It's the French Revolution told as a story — on the exact streets where it happened.
Everyone knows Louis XVI lost his head. Far fewer know he was executed on a square you'll stand in yourself, or that the bridge beside it was deliberately built from the stones of the demolished Bastille — so that Parisians would walk over the ruins of royal tyranny every single day.
Over two hours, your local guide walks you through the Revolution in chronological order: the spark of 1789 and the birth of the National Assembly, the fall of the monarchy, the Reign of Terror and the guillotine that eventually devoured even its own architects, and the long, turbulent road to the modern French Republic. Along the way you'll discover why we still call politics "left" and "right" (it began a few steps from here, in a converted horse stable), how the metric system was itself a revolutionary invention, and how later upheavals — from Napoleon to the Paris Commune of 1871 — kept reshaping the city.
The famous landmarks — the Place de la Concorde, the Jardin des Tuileries, Place Vendôme, the Opéra Garnier — are the backdrop. The revolution is the story. You'll leave understanding Paris, not just having photographed it.
All in a group of 8 people maximum (or fully private), with a passionate local guide who makes history feel alive, personal, and often surprisingly funny.
