Best Ice-Skating Rinks in Paris for Christmas 2025

Christmas time is here in Paris and with it came winter winds and flurries of snow. With the beautiful backdrop of this season, the Dayin team is in the spirit to throw on our best blades and visit some Parisian ice-skating rinks. So here’s a list of the ones you don’t want to miss out on in 2025:

Patinoire du Grand Palais

Dates : December 14th 2025 - January 7th 2026

Skate under the magnificent glass dome of the Grand Palais, on a nearly 35 000 square foot ice rink built straight into the 19th century Beaux-Arts architecture. It’s open every day from 10am to 2am, but the real party starts after 8pm with a live DJ set and laser lights bouncing off of their enormous disco ball.

Ticket price

Morning ticket:

  • Adult : 27 €
  • Child : 15€

Afternoon ticket:

  • Adult : 32 €
  • Child : 18 €

Night ticket (from 8pm) :

  • All ages : 39 €

While this rink is kid-friendly, children 14 and under must be accompanied by an adult at all times, with the night sessions requiring adult supervision for skaters up to 16 years old. If your little one is 3 or under, they skate for free!

Printemps Haussmann : rooftop

November 8th 2025 - January 4th 2026

Printemps Haussman has set up a temporary mini-rink on their rooftop, making for a great spot for pictures with the Eiffel tower in the distance. It’s a plastic rink and a bit tight on space, so we wouldn’t recommend it as a spot to practice your triple axel haha!

Ticket Price

  • Free
  • Online reservation mandatory and available from 1-7pm

Galeries Lafayette : rooftop

December 1st 2025 - January 4th 2026

Another temporary rink atop a famous department store. This one is a bit bigger and offers an oh-so beautiful view of the Paris skyline. Accessibility aids as well as ‘training wheels’ for beginners are available on request, so this rink is open to anyone 4 years or older. The experience lasts 30 minutes of actual skating time—so make the moment count and snap some pretty pictures while you’re there!

Ticket Price

Adult: 16 euros

Child (14 and under) : 7,5 euros

La Villette : Christmas market

November 20th 2025 - December 28th 2025

This ice rink stands in  In midst of the Christmas village built in a Swiss chalet style. So, if you want to skate in the Christmas mood, this one is made for you!

The market is one of the biggest in Paris this year, offering many attractions, food stands and artisans, which makes it perfect to spend a good time with your family or friends. If you want to know more about this Christmas market and others in Paris this year, check out our selection here.

Ticket Price

From 9 to 11 euros depending on the day (with discounts based on demand).

I would recommend making an online reservation here.

Jardin des Tuileries : Christmas market

November 14th 2025 - January 4th 2025

Every year the Tuileries Garden, right next to the Louvre, turns into a Christmas Market and all out fun-fair. The market also includes a decently sized ice rink, which has proven quite popular with the kids! If you’re going to the Tuileries Christmas Market, it’s a nice activity to do but it definitely isn’t the main attraction.

Ticket Price

Adult : 10 euros

Child : 6 euros

Which ice rink in Paris has the best view of the Eiffel Tower?

The Printemps Haussmann rooftop ice rink is the one with the most iconic Eiffel Tower view. The Galeries Lafayette rooftop rink also offers a beautiful panorama of Paris, including the Tower in the distance.

Do Paris ice rinks include skate rental?

Yes. All the temporary ice rinks in this list include skate rental in the ticket price. You don’t need to bring your own skates unless a rink specifically states otherwise.

Do you need to book Paris ice rinks in advance?

For rooftop rinks like Printemps and Galeries Lafayette, advanced online booking is mandatory due to limited space. For larger rinks like Grand Palais, booking ahead is strongly recommended, especially on weekends and during school holidays. If it is available online, I would recommend making a booking in advance.

Are any ice rinks in Paris free?

Yes! The Printemps Haussmann rooftop rink is free, but requires an online reservation. Most other rinks charge an entrance fee.

Is ice-skating in Paris suitable for kids and beginners?

Absolutely. Paris ice rinks welcome all levels, including young children and first-timers. The Tuileries and La Villette rinks are especially good for families because they sit inside Christmas markets with other kid-friendly activities.
