If you’re travelling with kids, you know it’s a bit different than travelling with adults. You’ll want to avoid long commutes as kids can get tired quickly as well as want to be close to family-friendly museums, activities and green spaces — for children to run and parent to spend a calmer evening. You might be wondering where is the best place to stay so that both parents and kids enjoy your trip to Paris.
I’ve selected the best districts with hotels, restaurants and activities that are perfect for families, so you are done spending hours searching the internet for the right answer.
1. The Latin Quarter (5eme arrondissement)
The Latin Quarter is a calm and residential area situated in the historical heart of the city.
Because of its name, many people think that it is the Latino district of Paris, but not at all! It’s named “Latin Quarter” because, during the Middle Ages, Latin was the most commonly spoken language for scholars and students at the University of Paris.
Perks:
- Calm, residential and very walkable.
- Centrally located, with a short commute to the most renowned monuments in Paris.
